It is a wrap

I started the week by having a birthday. We enjoyed a potluck and had a great time together .  We finished our project at Riverbend Retreat Center on Thursday. This week we were able to go back to the gathering room, where I had spent last month working , and finished it up. We did some painting, hung a door and finished the trim. It was really nice to see the giant transformation in two months and complete the project.  Then back to the chapel where we ran some conduit and hung a couple lights on the ceiling, just in time for the painters to start painting.  This finished our time here.  The gals did more laundry, painted and shredded to finish out their time.

Riverbend Retreat Center sees 18,000 children in the summer and around 10,000 for retreats during the rest of the year. It opened in 1967 and will see their 1,000,000 visitor this summer.

It has been a joy working with our crew, the Malone’s and Statons. On Friday night we went to “The Promise of Passover” in Glen Rose Texas.  This is a musical about Christ’s Life that they have been putting on for 36 years. The amphitheater has over 3,000 seats! It was a great way to cap off our project and start Palm Sunday weekend.
