Last year we headed to work a project in Texas the end of January. Coming from Idaho we watched the weather and tried to make it between storms. A storm was chasing us when we arrived at the SOWER Office in Lindale, Texas. I think we were parked in this very spot, where we are today as I write this. The day after our arrival an Ice Storm hit. The weather is crazy here, I thought. I told Ann, “We don’t need to come back to Texas!!!” No sooner than I said that, I remembered there was going to be a total eclipse the next year. I looked up the path of totality and we were parked in it. So much for my thoughts of not coming back to Texas.
April 8th 2024 we were parked right here at SOWER Headquarters, in the path of totality. Not only for the eclipse, but for a SOWER project. The forecast was not good, as storms were moving in. Clouds were forecast, but GOD Blessed us and though there were some clouds that floated through our view, during totality the sky opened up and we had a perfect view. It got dark and cooled off for around four minutes. It was a “work day” on our project but we took time off and had a potluck picnic and enjoyed time with friends here as we viewed God’s display in the heavens. It was AWSOME!
We feel that GOD directed us here by giving us the desire to see the Eclipse, but HE has us right where HE wanted us. To help finish this project at the SOWER Headquarters.
