Before we even bought our pop up trailer, we were told of this little tiny town that was not much more than a fuel stop out in Arizona. In the winter it becomes a giant city with RVs of every kind parked all over the desert. In January a Giant Tent would be set up with vendors related to RVing. It seemed that to be a real RVer you would need to experience Quartzsite and the “Big Tent”. We have stayed at least one night in our Coach in each of the 48 states, but we had never been to Quartzsite.
This is the year, and maybe we need to find a Quartzsite sticker to put next to our USA map on our door. We arrived on Tuesday and the Big Tent runs form January 20th to the 28th. The desert is filling up with RVs. They expect that there will be between seven hundred thousand and one million people camped here in the Arizona desert.
We do have another reason for being here. We are getting our Awnings redone. They came and took them off yesterday and will bring them back on Monday.
