We have finished our first week at Sermon on the Mount. This is in Anadarko, Oklahoma about an hour south of Oklahoma City. Dr. Lew Sterrett teaches Lessons of Leadership from the Language of a Horse. This is based on Christian Principles. It is amazing to watch.
We have a great team of four SOWER couples. The picture is of our team enjoying a Easter Sunday potluck picnic together. The guys are working in the arena on the Western Building facades. It has been fun working together on adding the finishing touches, stain and paint to these buildings. The girls are remodeling a bunk house.
Did I ever mention that I am not that fond of heights! Well God has gave me a peace and calmness as I have ran the scissor lift to the top of the building to install siding, paint and etc. The buildings are going to be really cool when they are done. Watch for pictures as we make progress in the next two weeks.
Dr. Lew gave our devotion one morning, from the mount of a spirited horse he is training. It is amazing how he brings out God’s principles for life as he talks about training a horse or as he gets a horse ready to saddle and ride for the first time. As SOWERs we have devotions as a group each day, usually before we start our work.
