Turned 70 Yesterday

I turned 70 yesterday. Looking back it has been quite a year. We have been blessed way beyond measure. On my Birthday last year I rode my old Schwinn Traveler, that my cousin Robert  fixed up. We were able to spend time with lots of family and friends throughout the year. We put on somewhere around 17,000 miles driving around the country in our Country Coach. We volunteered at five SOWER Projects. We were Blessed to be able to serve each of these projects in different ways to help out their ministries. We made many new friends and were both encouraged and able to encourage those we came in contact with at these projects. We spent at least one night in our motorhome in 24 new states. Most of these were while traveling with our good friends, Bruce and Katie. I know that we would not have accomplished this without them. Just after we arrived in Texas, our 48th state, GOD allowed us to purchase a house. We had made offers on other houses in the past and were way out bid. We are still very happy in our motorhome, but we have a home base which is around 20 minutes from our son and his family, and about 5 hours from our daughter and her family. We moved into our new home and then headed to Texas, where we are now.  My sister-in-law, Ruth passed away expectantly February 1. We made a quick trip to California for her memorial and were able to see lots of family and friends while there.  My prayer is the Gods light will shine through me this coming year!

Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.  Matthew 5:16
