The Homestead

We have good friends that recently moved to Texas. They purchased one acre of undeveloped land near Sulphur Springs, actually they are closer to Birthright.  Birthright consist of a Exxon Station and a Dollar General.  They have their motorhome parked on the property and are building some Garages and Cottages for their treasures.  Yesterday we loaded up a few tools, gloves and boots and took the car to see them, a little under 1 1/2 hours away. We couldn’t go see them without helping build something. It was great to spend time with them while helping build their second cottage. We got quite a lot done and made it to the point of having all the walls up, by then the sun was going down and it was time for us to head back to our place. I think of the song Charity Church Mouse sang that said ” Make me a Servant humble and meek “.  We pray that not only when we are working on a project, but everyday we can be a blessing to someone by serving them.  Here is a link to a few more pictures.
