Ark Encounter features a full-size Noah’s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old.
The structure is amazing. When we arrived we stood in awe of the size of the Ark and then when we went inside and looked at the beams and timbers, I was in Awe again. This was a giant project just to build the structure. But that is just a part of the experience. You walk through the 3 stories of displays there is so much to take in. The Ararat Ridge Zoo was excellent and there was also a petting zoo. There is also a theater, restaurants, coffee shops, a carousel, and so much more. This is a destination, not just a place to go to when you are in the area. We would highly recommend it. Here is a link to our Album.
