Leaving Virginia

After a nice stay in the Heritage Baptist Church parking lot, it was time to leave. Lynchburg had a gift for us the night before we left. I started seeing distant flashes, then looked at my lighting tracker app. There was lighting all around us and then the sky opened up. The rain here doesn’t start slow, the bucket just gets dumped all at once. The water was rushing down the parking lot like crazy. It was a wild 20 minutes. We were fine and woke up in the morning to a beautiful day.

During our trip today today we drove through the Blue Ridge Mountains then the Appalachian Mountains, what a beautiful drive. We also went through three Toll Booths.  We are thankful that we purchased a uni-pass transponder for the trip. We just drive through the Toll Booth and it applies the fare to our account.  The downside is, you don’t find out what is cost till later. If we were in a car it tells you, but a motorhome towing a car??? jus not sure. It will take it out of our account sometime in the next 2 weeks, then we will know.

For tonight we are in West Virginia at a RV Park that is between a railroad track and grass airport. (They have lots of grass airports in the east.) The Ohio River is on the other side of the airport. After supper I walked down by the river when the sun was setting. There was a guy on what looked like a couple pontoons with a little outboard motor putting up the river. I am not sure if he caught any fish. GOD created so many beautiful places and pictures to see, if we just take the time to look around.

We also added Virginia and West Virginia to our USA map, just 10 to go. What an adventure it has been. Kentucky tomorrow.  Here is a link to our Album.
