I met Rod riding the school bus back in elementary school. His stop was after ours. At Parlier the bus made a quick city route then came back to take the country kids home. We were almost last on that second bus route, Rod was last. We have been friends a long time. When we left Plymouth, CA we headed over the Carson Pass Highway. It is a peaceful 2 lane road that reaches 8,573′ elevation. Well it has a lot of curves and is steep in places;-) It was a beautiful drive with dry road when we went across. We had a wonderful time visiting and they showed us around the area. They even took us over the hill to Lake Tahoe, we had never been there. Good times with good friends.
