Y2K22

I remember back in 1999 getting ready for Y2K. No one knew what would happen when the calendar switched to 2000. Fortunately not much. Fast forward to today. We have been wondering why the clock in our Honda CRV quit working right. No matter how we set it, it goes back to 1:00 in 2002 each time we start it. Everything else about the radio and navigation work fine. Not a big deal, but annoying. I was even thinking about replacing the radio. Then today I find out it is a Y2K22 issue affecting older Hondas. Honda says it might be fixed by August of this year. Got to laugh and will put up with it till August.

  1. Burneall and Ann, I love this post! A while back, in my old 08′ Subaru Forester (sadly, probably now on a scrap metal ship to China), suddenly the radio/CD player just quit. Everything else was fine. So disappointing because I listen to music almost all the time! Months later, after parking my car at the airport for a trip to California, we returned to find the battery totally dead. But, new battery, radio/CD function restored! Put a piece of tape over the clock function so you won’t be confused!
