Power Upgrade for Motorhome

New Inverter, Batteries, Solar

In February / March of 2020 I made the biggest improvement to our Country Coach, I upgraded the batteries, power systems and added solar. This allows us to keep the A/C power on all the time. We an run a air conditioner for a while without running the generator. Another huge improvement is that we can hook up to a 15 amp home power cord and set the inverter to draw maybe 12amps and the solar/batteries will assist to give us full power. It has been really neat.                                                                If you are interested this is the short list of the parts I used:

  • 3000W Victron Multiplus Inverter/Charger
  • AM Solar Smart Phase Selector
  • (6) 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery
  • Victron Battery Monitor With Bluetooth Built-in (BMV 712)
  • Victron Color Control GX
  • LiFePO4 Battery Isolation Manager
  • Victron Blue Seal 150/ 85 controller
  • (6)200W 36 CELL 12V NOMINAL SOLAR PANEL
  • LiFePO4 Battery Isolation Manager
  • Victron Blue Seal 150/ 85 controller
  • EasyStart™ 364 (3-ton) Soft Starter
