We spent three weeks of September volunteering at Hope House in Marsing Idaho. It is located along the Snake River, less than 30 miles from our house. This campus was originally built as a Civilian Conservation Corps Camp back in 1939-1941, there are always things to do. Hope House exists to provide a home for children in need. It is a Home to come to.
We had a great time volunteering with Mark and Sandy. We worked on many different projects.
The girls did everything from working in the dirt to food service. The guys did some handyman jobs, furniture building and heavy landscaping. (Did battle with lots of trees.)
It wasn’t always work, we toured Mission Aviation Fellowship and went to church one Sunday at Calvary Chapel Nampa, both SOWER projects.
We value the friendships made with the staff and students. Thankfull that we could serve and encourage them. We left part of our Hearts at Hope House and hope to return some time soon.
