Trains in the Forest

We are working our way from Reedley to Redmond. Our first stop was at the Dixon May Fairgrounds RV Park. From there we drove our car to San Rafael, and spent a wonderful day with my Aunt Mary.

The next stop was the Jubilee Railroad Lodge and RV Park. The Lodge is made up of over 25 Caboose’s and some tiny houses you can stay in. It is totally cool. We stayed in one of the Caboose’s 26 years ago, this time we stayed at the RV Park.

When exploring the town of Dunsmuir we came across this Southern Pacific Locomotive 1727. As I read the information this Locomotive was stationed in Fresno on the Friant Line before it was retired and given to the town of Dunsmuir.

Our next stop was Train Mountain in Chiloquin, Oregon.  It is a Harvest Hosts and we had spent a night here five years ago. This is an amazing place with over 35 miles of miniature hobby railroad. Check out my album from our last stay. Some day we hope to stay during the summer when there is more action and train rides available.

Lillyville, just one of the miniature towns.

Lots of places to relax.
One of many parking spots.

It has been a relaxing and enjoyable trip, parking amongst the pine trees around Trains has been a bonus. Thanks for following along with us.
