Reedley

The view from the driveway

We were welcomed to Reedley by beautiful winter weather with warm afternoons.

Valley Fog

A few days later a pattern of thick fog in the mornings and sometimes in the evening rolled in. This picture doesn’t show how thick it can be. It makes driving a bit more dangerous.

I measure fog a couple ways, if you can see one or two telephone poles along the road, orĀ  when it gets thicker, how many dividing lines you can see. We went to breakfast one morning and part of the way we could only see two lines at a time. We drove really slow, especially when approaching intersections.

Birthday invitation picture

Mark’s 70th Birthday Celebration was really fun. It was an “open house”, but I think most people came when it started and didn’t leave till after it was over. I enjoyed visiting with so many long time friends and family that I forgot to take any pictures.

It is different coming “back home” to visit, than if we still lived here. We are more intentional about getting together and trying to see everyone. God has Blessed us with lots of family and friends here and our calendar fills up fast. Our roots and history are here and we value and love keeping up with y’all.

If we don’t get to see you on this trip, hopefully we can get together next time.
