Always interesting, we had everything loaded and ready to pull the motorhome out and hook up the car. I turned the key and the engine doesn’t turn over. Batteries are fine, dash lights are bright?? I opened the engine bay and after some thought I tapped on this solenoid, and it started right up.
The weather was unseasonably warm with lots of wind and rain off and on, but no ice or snow on the road. We planned to spend the night in Winemucca, but there was too much daylight left and the roads were clear. We continued on to Fernley, NV. We arrived at the Desert Rose RV Park at 4:00.
We knew it was coming and we woke up to a beautiful inch of snow and colder weather in the morning.
We have been hoping for a good weather window over Donner, as we really don’t want to put our cables on our Coach and CR-V. It doesn’t look like it will be today, so we plan to spend another day right where we are. We will keep watching the Cal Trans Quick Map app and hopefully make it over Donner tomorrow.
