Surgery

We arrived at the Surgical Center of TVH around 7:30 in the morning, and we left a little after 2:30.  This is crazy fast,  but Ann had done the four things required before going home.   1.  pain under control  2. walk  3. pee  4. climb stairs. On the way home we stopped by Wendy’s for a “Doctor Prescribed Protein Shake” 🙂

When we were in Reedley we knew the doctors, but the Treasure Valley is all new to us. For our general we ended up going to a PA whose office is less than a mile from our house. He has referred us to many specialist. They have all been great. We believe that God set us on a good path and we are thankful.

We were referred to Blackrock Orthopedics for Ann’s knee.  Doctor Winegar is great and we appreciate his plan for recovery, which uses a CPM machine and the ThermoTek VascuTherm 5 machine.  The  Surgical Center is just over a year old and is a very nice first class surgical center. The staff was great and everything went according to schedule.

Getting home is interesting, trying to get everything figured out. Trying to follow the pill schedule set up by the doctor, and learning to use the machines. We are getting it dialed in and will be pros at it by the time the two weeks is up. Ann did sleep well last night and is doing good this morning. Praise the Lord. Thank you all who are praying for her.
