We sure enjoyed our time at Sermon on the Mount. God put together a great SOWER team. That being said, the three weeks sure went by fast. We all worked together really well and had fun getting to know each other better. It wasn’t all easy going. We had strong winds for almost a week and then a baseball size hail storm. We survived these things together. We will all be heading different directions when we leave, but we will leave as friends hoping we can all work together again.

Check out the before and after pictures above. The guys worked on the the store fronts in the arena area. We caught Lew and Melody’s vision and then elaborated on that. One of our fun projects was making fake bricks to cover the flake board chimney.
The girls started out by being asked to clean the bunk house, that turned into a remodeling job. They repainted the whole interior and made new curtains. We helped with things like installing a dryer vent, removing and then installing new kitchen cabinets. This required moving the drain pipe for the sink.
We were very Blessed our time at Sermon on the Mount Ministries.
Lew lead our devotions the first and last day of our project. Actually if you would ask him a question while he was on a horse in the arena you would get a mini devotion, relating the actions of a horse to our principles and walk with the LORD. If you ever get a chance to volunteer at Sermon on the Mount, do it! You will be Blessed as you are a Blessing to their ministry. If you get a chance to go to hear Lew speak, do it!
