We started off the day at 15 degrees. As always our travel cups were ready and filled with hot coffee, and a little creamer. We start each morning with Coffee but travel days get travel cups:-) It has bee a job getting everything we need back into the Motorhome. Lots of lists and lots of trips taking things out to the coach. Then it is a process to wake up the coach, that has been resting in the cold weather for three months. When I tried to fill it with water it would not fill. Something froze up, so I got my portable lamp out with a 100 watt bulb in it and put it in the wet bay. After a little while we had the tank full and running water at the faucets. It is very nerve racking getting ready to head out in a RV after parked for a while, and I was wound up just a little. We got the finial things loaded and rolled the coach out of our side yard around 9:00 this morning. The sun was shining and the sky was clear and the roads were dry, even though it was less than 20 degrees outside. We were warm in the coach and had a very nice first travel day. The trip was beautiful, with all the usually dried up hills and mountains covered with snow. It was a joy for Ann and I to be rolling down the road again. We made it to the Golden Spike RV Park in Brigham City, UT, a little north of Salt Lake, for our first night back on the road.
The “Golden Spike National Historical Site” is less than an hour from here. Checking this out is on our list to see, but won’t happen this trip. Our plan is to make it to Moab, UT tomorrow, which means we will be right by Arches National Park. We are trying to keep our eye on the weather and road conditions, but we know that the scenery will be spectacular tomorrow. Here is a link to our album for this trip. Stay tuned for more adventures.
