Labor Day Weekend finds us in Maryland at Sandy Cove Ministries. Some SOWER projects allow you to overnight when you are traveling, and this is one of them. We appreciate this safe Harbor for the weekend, as we know it is a busy travel weekend and didn’t want to be on the road. Trying to negotiate the roads over here is crazy enough without the added traffic.
Sandy Cove is located outside the town of North East, interesting name for a town especially since we just came from the Down East area in Maine. The main part of the Sandy Cove campus is located along the North East River which is north of the Chesapeake Bay. There is a Beautiful view over the bay. We are at the Wilderness Campground about a mile away.
Where ever today finds you this weekend, I hope that you can take a little break and enjoy the beauty of Gods Creation. Check out the photo album.
*the picture of our motorhome shows it way up in the air in the front, it is that way because the site is so unlevel, not because I am changing the oil:-)
The picture of the overpass in Massachusetts reminded me of an article that I read recently in the AAA magazine: “Averaging nearly $600 per job, damage caused by potholes cost drivers a staggering 26.5 billion in 2019 alone.” That’s for potholes, not just things like chunks of pavement that are missing, etc! I hope that your vehicles are OK!
The pictures of the Bay are so beautiful! We had a very shy dog a number of years ago that was Chesapeake Bay retriever–and she loved to swim and dive! She instinctively knew to blow bubbles out of her nose when she was diving! It would have been fun to take her to the Bay!
Enjoy the holiday!

Some roads are terrible. I am surprised the coach doesn’t fall apart. We did get a front flat in our car after hitting a pot hole on 41 by Kettleman City.
