Not long after we left Idaho in January Ann’s right knee started giving her pain. Ann put up with the pain during our trip. When we got back home it was past time to make doctor appointments and get the process going. As we suspected, it was time to replace her right knee. This knee lasted four years longer than the left one. We made the surgery appointment for September 9th, which was a couple months away at the time. Well September 9th is now tomorrow.
We have attended a Total Joint Replacement Class. Ann has been doing all kinds of things to be better prepared for the surgery and these will continue during recovery. We have the Constant Passive Motion Machine which will slowly bend her knee for her. ThermoTek VacuTherm 5 machine which provides cold therapy and compression therapy. She has her first Physical Therapy appointment scheduled for Thursday. And yes, this will be a out patient surgery. Tomorrow afternoon we should be home starting the recovery!
If you would please join us in praying that the surgery and recovery go well. Thank you and God Bless.
The praying starts now & continues thru your recovery. So sorry we aren’t home to bring you food & whatever else you need. Make a list for when we get home 😀.
We look forward to your healing & getting to SOWER together!
Thank you for your prayers and friendship. When you get home in November Ann might be ready for some golf??
