The Warbird Roundup is Idaho’s largest 2-day gathering of historic war planes from across the country. This is the 22nd Annual, and is put on by the Warhawk Museum in Nampa Idaho. Josh and I showed up when the gates just opened, before the crowds showed up. We checked out the Museum and some of the displays and before long there were tons of people. We had a a couple great viewing spots, watching them fire up an taxi off was really cool. Half of the fun is listening to the engines roar. I hope that you enjoy listing to the videos. It is really cool to see and hear these historic airplanes flying. I can only imagine back during the war, watching them take off and hoping for their return.
Their were food trucks and many related displays. The Idaho Military Vehicle Preservation Association was very well represented. Lots of military vehicles and equipment. Most of it was in better condition then when it was in service. Mission Aviation Fellowship also had a display and had one of their Kodiak airplanes opened, letting kids sit in the cockpit. It was a great time!
