The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum is located across the street form the “World’s Largest Truckstop” This has been on my list of places to visit for a long time. I think that they have around 120 trucks on display. You can see our reactions, I am excited to go, and Ann is excited because that was the last exhibit, and it was time to go.
In 1938 my grandpa purchased a brand new 1938 Fageol and a 1938 Ford. I thought that they were all gone, but to my surprise there one was! As I read it said that this was the only one in existence today. They were made in Oakland, California and was the finial year of production.
Another truck that brought back memories. Back in 1957 grandpa bought a new Diamond T. My uncle Doug drove it. (this is a picture of my brother Mark standing by the Diamond T, not Uncle Doug) He would keep that truck so clean that the word was you could “eat off the floor!” He was always wiping it off. Wearing his White Mule leather gloves and Frisco pants was the way he rolled. He used Tire Black on the tires to give it that extra bit of shine.
Tyrone Malone’s Bandage Bandit. This truck went 150 miles per hour on the Salt Flats. The second picture is of a beautiful 1964 International Emeryville. The third picture is a 1922 White, we have a 1923 White rotting away at the yard. This last picture is leaving the Iowa 80 Truckstop. Click here to see the photo album with lots of cool trucks.
We so enjoyed meeting you two standing in line at Wendy’s. I had no idea of your history in and love of trucking. I really enjoyed reading your story on your website. I hope you had a lot of success at Shepherds College in Union Grove. Our encounter got me to look up that college and learn all about the good that they do. God bless you both and keep you safe on your travels as you serve the people you meet.

We also enjoyed our visit in the fast food line. It was a pleasure to meet you two. I am glad that you enjoyed my story on my website. I am glad that you were wearing your Shaklee shirt. God Bless you also, Burneall & Ann
