We spent a couple nights in Branson, and no we didn’t make it to any shows. We did go out to eat a couple times and drove around the very hilly town in the rain. We started the day at the Floating Cafe, for Breakfast. Service and food were really good. We relaxed most of the afternoon, then headed out early, so we could eat at old peoples time, around 4:30. We went to Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar. Diners Drive-ins and Dives. It is located at Branson Landing, a large mall. It wasn’t busy (during Old People Time) and our waiter was the Bar tender, he was Fun! We enjoyed a nice dinner together then headed home to go to bed :-). Here are some pictures.
I still have a little diesel in my veins, and love trucks. The Smokey and the Bandit Truck was parked at a the Car and Farm museum. I had to pull over and get a pictures. It is hard to believe that movie was made in 1977.
Our next stop was Springfield, MO. We stayed at a Harvest Hosts, American Legion Post 639 or LZ639. It was interesting as they served lunch from 11:00-2:00, had a bar, lottery machines, cool war memorials, and a 6 site RV park, with water and power. We would recommend this Harvest Hosts.
We drove over to Fantastic Caverns, a ride through cave tour. We rode in the wagon as you can see. It was amazing! You can see my pictures here, but they don’t do it justice. On our way out of town we stopped at the Route 66 Car Museum. Can you tell which car I liked the best? I had some really nice cars. Check out pictures here. Stay tuned as we continue on our way to Wisconsin.
