It has been too long since my last post. So here we go, when we left Aldersgate Camps and Retreats we headed to Amazing Creations and picked up our newly recovered couch. We had left it there before we reported to our project at Aldersgate. As you can see Ann loves the way it came out, Thank you Danette, Scott and the crew at Amazing Creations.
Our next stop was Rufus Landing which is a Army Corp dispersed camping area below the John Day Dam right along the Columbia River. We have enjoyed staying there before. There is just something neat about watching the river and seeing the trains go by across the river and behind you. This time it was really windy and there were lots and lots of wind surfers to watch.
While we were serving at Aldersgate Ann’s cousin, Richard Hansen passed away. When we were in the Pacific Northwest we would make a point of stopping by and having coffee with Richard and his wife Jeanie. We would talk of old times, family and friends and always how we were with the Lord.
God has his hand in even the little details. The couple that we worked with were from West Richland, WA. When we met them at Aldersgate we asked if the knew Richard and Jeanie Hansen. They had lived down the street from them and went to the same church. The service for Richard was the week after we completed our project so were able to park our motorhome in our new friends Mark and Ginny’s yard. They place was about 10 minutes from where the service was held. Getting to know Mark and Ginny was just a extra Blessing.
We were thankful that we could attend Richards service. Richard lived a life that showed Jesus was his best friend. What a blessing it was to see how God has worked through Richards life. It was a joy to share time with family we knew and those we just met.
Below you will see a picture of the Morton Hospitality RV Site and our wonderful host and new friends, Mark and Ginny.
