In June we signed up to volunteer at Aldersgate Camps and Retreats for October. A bonus to working at Aldersgate is our path goes right through Redmond, and we were past ready to see our Oregon grandkids, and their parents too! We spent a long weekend with them and had a great time! We totally enjoy spending time with the grandkids and got to take care of them while Val and Ryan went on a date. This is a win win for everyone. We even went and had lunch with Tom and Lorna, a SOWER couple that live close to our kids. Good times.
When we were at the FMCA Rally in June, we made an appointment to have the couch in our coach recovered. We left the kids on Tuesday morning and had a beautiful drive over the mountains. Our first stop was Amazing Creations in Junction City, Oregon. We dropped off our coach couch there and will pick it up in a few weeks. It is strange being couch less, but are trying to make it as comfortable as possible. We will spend a couple nights in Albany at the Knox Butte RV Park before reporting to Aldersgate Camps and Retreats on Thursday. We are looking forward to volunteering there again.
