Oregon

Last Wednesday we went to Sam’s Kindergarten Graduation. It was really neat, when Sam looked down from the stage he saw both sets of Grandparents and his parents waving back at him. As part of the program they showed short videos of the kids answering the question, What did you like best about Kindergarten? Sam’s answer was the Chickens. They got to watch eggs hatch in his class. After the his graduation we congratulated him, gave him hugs and high 5s. Then we headed home, rolled the motorhome out of the back yard, hooked up the car and headed the 325 miles to our Oregon grandkids.

We took a field trip to the Crescent Moon Ranch Alpaca Farm with Valoree and the grandkids. This is only a few miles from Val & Ryan’s place, and we have done this adventure many times. We had the bonus tour this time. When we arrived there were lots of new born alpaca’s running around.  You can buy a bag of food there and Ann and the kids have fun feeding the alpacas. We watched as a couple of the ranch staff cornered one of the alpacas, then it got interesting. We watched as the vet? helped that alpaca deliver her baby, right there in the pasture! Then we watched the baby alpaca start to walk. This was amazing, something I had never seen in person before. The kids however more interested in watching the little Kubota Tractor with a bucket loader moving irrigation pipe from one place to another. Stay tuned for more of our Oregon adventures.
