We woke up to rain on Monday so it was on to plan B, working inside. The build crew moved to the barn and repaired picnic tables. The paint crew moved indoors and repainted the Snack Bar. They brightened and cleaned it up. The rain continued on Tuesday which gave us time to finish the indoor projects. The others continues on doing repair’s around camp. See some pictures from Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday were good work days and our Build crew made a lot of progress on the Cottage.
I have learned a lot during construction. David is the person with the most experience and he retired from owning/running a cabinet business. He uses a small retractable pencils to make his measurements. I use a great big construction pencil. David measures to the thirty seconds of an inch. I usually measure to the quarter of an inch, and my lines are typically not too accurate. See the picture of me holding the retractable pencil to mark the length. I am learning. There might be hope!
We have 2 walls ready to stand up tomorrow. It will be all hands on deck for that job. Stay tuned! See more pictures.
