After we left the Gemini Giant I was planning on staying at a Walmart somewhere around Fort Wayne, Indiana. We stopped at around 4:00 to decide exactly where we would spend the night, (Ann took a short nap) so I took another look at Harvest Hosts and there it was The Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum. I made the reservation while she was sleeping:-) This museum is in Auburn, Indiana. There are two other neat automobile museums in Auburn, the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and the National Truck and Auto Museum, but we didn’t have time to see them all. In the morning we went through the museum, it is fantastic! Ann had to tell me to relax and take a deep breath a couple times. We then headed to Heartland Retreat Center where we met up with our friends Bruce and Katie. We will travel with them to New York and then on to Maine. Click here for more pictures.
Ford Museum: as they say in British English, brilliant! Another museum that I’d like to add to my list!
The 2 other Automobile Museums in Auburn, IN sound really good too!
