Our next stop was the Grant River Recreation Area, a Army Corp Campground. It is a very nice campground that is in Wisconsin right along the Mississippi River. The river is over a mile wide at that spot. It was so peaceful there, with the river flowing by. The railroad tracks we crossed when we entered into the park should have been a clue. Then a little while after we were all set up the first train went by, then the second, third, fourth…..there were way over a dozen trains a day. It was a nice campground and we would stay there again if in the area. After a while we would look up when we heard the train and when we saw it say, only two locomotives on that one, or wow that one had four and an engine or two pushing at the end.
